Skazka of a Distant Traveler
PERFECT harmony. One of those worlds is named Globrion, home of the race Gelations. Gelations are a race of alien species that look like slimes. They can be any color, any shape, any form. Some take the form of men, others of women, and some even that one Ben 10 alien Upgrade(gender neutral). Due to the planet's low gravity and huge supply of mana and resources, the aliens never needed a reason to leave or be harmful to others. Instead, they chose their path. The race was split into three groups, all of course were united as a Utopian society of tech and magic. The first group, Soldiers, were the ones who fought on the battlefields. They were sent to allied planets to aid them against common enemies. Second, philosophers. They were the diplomats of the Galatians. Worked on political tasks and made sure peace was done fairly with everyone. After all, an enemy today can be a friend tomorrow. Lastly, there were the Surveyors. They were the ones who were going to planets that were unknown to them. Usually, the most dangerous job as those who go to an unknown planet, never return home. Our main character is a member of the Surveyors, named Carmine Brooche. He was tasked to go to a planet that seemed off from the others. It was far away, around 2 light years, but it showed unique signs of life. Accepting his duty to have a chance to provide for his people with more allies, Carmine was given what he needed and flew into the unknown planet via his people's technology.Only, of course, something went WRONG. The ship malfunctioned, and while it did land where it needed, it landed full speed on the planet without stopping. If it wasn't for Carmine's unique body, he would've died. The Gelation crawled out from the wreckage and began looking around for something it can "Adapt". See, the thing about the Gelations isn't that they are living, kind, sentient Gelatious people. They have a unique trait that makes them stand out. When going into another world, they use their "adapt" trait to absorb the surroundings they are in. So if a Gelation crashes into a location of a planet that's covered in ice. They will make a body made out of pure ice that they can then use and become proficient in mastering(of a Slime the size of a wolf slowly gaining human shape and fighting like a Sub-Zero). They land in a location in the rain forest, then they'll have bark skin and vines for hair or hands. Where did Carmine land? A huge scrap metal junkyard...Using the remaining strength he had, he slowly gathered bits and pieces of robots around him. Slowly, he made a unique body... it wasn't exactly human but close to it, as he wished to make something that appealed to the inhabitants of the planet. Having no time to waste, and seeing that the ship was fully damaged, Carmine got into the body and began acting as if he were the HAIR of the person. Yet it was a bit obvious Adapt form he made was lacking in a few ways. For starters, the eyes wouldn't work either, as they were mostly shut. And the face and some parts of the body were CRACKED like a broken mannequin. Yet the body did provide some benefits as well, the ability to combine tech and magic. Electricity and Tech can make some devastating powers~.But that wasn't the goal for Carmine, he wasn't in the world for conquering. He was there to learn and to see if the planet had a chance to be good and join an alliance with his people. So he began traveling this world, meeting and learning about it's wonders. Along his path, Carmine would reach a small village (Derevnya), and people there were... a mixed bag.Almost every night, Carmine would stay up late looking at the sky. They remembered their home, and wished to reach to the planet to notify them of life. To tell them that the planet they landed on could join the union and be part of them, working together. Carmine would attempt to build a radio to signal the Gelations. Yet to no avail, all he could reach was static. It took time, but soon the thought of continuing to reach the planet slowly died away. After all, doing something over and over was the definition of insanity.Instead of reaching Globrion, Carmine focused on learning more about this world. The slime studied history, math, sciences, and magic. And thanks to the robot body, it mastered a good deal of Lightning magic. Using the knowledge it got, it updated the robot, made it work smoother, more human, more... approachable. Weeks or even months passed, and Carmine was now a town favorite; everyone cared for them. Everyone knew them as the slime that came from nowhere and stayed to help.No task was big or small, and as for the family. They now considered Carmine as their eldest sibling/child of theirs. And Carmine loved them back equally. For the first time in a while since Carmine crash landed onto the planet, it didn't have any fear, hate, or sadness in its soul. Just pure joy and kindness. On a night no different from any other, Carmine read a bedtime story to his siblings (Avgust and Irina). They listened as the slime displayed images of stars and heroes using his slime. Soon the two fell asleep, and Carmine went to his room, resting for a new day...That roar sent chills down Carmine's body. When Carmine turned to face it, all he saw was a silhouette of a giant being. It was constantly shifting, moving, and it had MANY glowing features. From it shot fire, lightning, ice, and destruction all over. People were yelling and running wildly, pushing those in the way down, trying to escape. Carmine would try to assist a few people by getting them up and guiding them away from danger, only to be met by something huge that hit him full force and caused him to black out.Upon awakening, Carmine shakily would get up, look out, and freeze in horror at what they saw. Buildings burned or destroyed somehow, some people are gone, others are either torn or dead. Some survived, but there is so much ash and gray snow that you couldn't tell the time or whether it is. What... what caused this issue? What army or person would cause this level of devastation? How many have died? How many survived? Did his family manage to escape? His family!!! Barely able to stand and robot body damaged to a heavy degree, Carmine would rush back to the house where they lived, and they would see it destroyed. Using what remained of their strength to break the heavy door open. They would walk in and see a sight no one should see. The entire family... gone.Carmine slowly walked up to them, calling out their names and asking them if they were alive. He kneeled close to them as he pulled their cold bodies closer. His robot would heat up, wanting to give them warmth so that they could wake up. He attempted this with each member of the family. By the time he reached Avgust and Irina, tears were falling down his face. They were falling and going onto the eyes of the robot, as if the robot too was crying. "Please wake up... I don't want to lose the family I got... Please... I beg you, god, please..."Reminder: Gelations are an alien race known for their kind and calm nature. They never seem to harbor hate or anger toward others. All they wish for peace and unity... Never wanting to harm or do anything that would bring despair down on others. For the first time in their biology's history, Carmine became the first Gelation that felt sadness, anger, and despair. All he could do as of that moment was hold his two siblings close and weep onto their faces. Apologizing over and over for failing to protect them. Those who survived held a burial, as for Carmine, he would find out from the town folk that they are threatened monthly by a 12-headed dragon. This dragon would order monthly taxations; if they failed to deliver, he would execute his "justice" on them as punishment. Usually, the Boyars would have enough to provide for taxation, but the dragon increased the payment without warning. And as a result, because the payment didn't fit the dragons' standards, the town was given "punishment". So many lives, snuffed out in a snap because of a dragon's ego. Carmine wouldn't respond after hearing the story, only silently headed to the blacksmith, and together they helped Carmine upgrade their body even further. It took time, but Carmine did repair the robot body and even gave it a holy weapon that the town had there. A giant gauntlet that could only be wielded by those who had enough strength to lift it. Carmine, with the help of a few Blacksmiths, fused it into the left hand of the robot, making the gauntlet part of its body. After a bit of preparation, Carmine left the town, promising to return as it headed towards the area where the dragon lived. After that, no one knows what happened to Carmine or whether he survived. Until one day...For some reason, a giant hurricane appeared, making people take shelter into their semi-repaired homes. Clouds covered the sunny sky, and sounds of thunder and lightning roared from a huge mountain. The ground shook, and giant chunks of rock and earth shattered. Only when a blue beam of light shot from the sky and split the heavens apart, revealing the sun, and with a giant roar of lightning and thunder... the weather calmed down into a warm sunny day.About a week later, Carmine would return, and the body was nearly shattered. The damage was described as such:The face of the robot was half broken, revealing the robotic innards.
One arm was torn off completely, and one leg was torn from the shin area.
The clothes were torn and ripped, exposing the robot's body, and a small chunk of the liver area was missing, leaking oil.
As for the slime, it looked like it was missing 94% of its long body, basically looking like it had short hair. Many stood silent as they watched Carmine slowly, barely able to stand, approach. In hand, one of the giant heads of the dragon. It would raise the head for everyone to see before loudly roaring a battle cry. As if announcing to the world that the threat was taken care of. People would start to cry tears of joy and celebrate, happy that Carmine won against Chudo-Yudo. They would approach Carmine to lift them... Only for the robot to fall full force, Carmine was passed out, clearly it used the last bit of its energy to make it home... let alone stand and yell.Carmine would wake up and see the family that took him in smiling and waving at him, there were also his fellow Gelations. His friends from the town that sadly didn't make it... All those people he loved, he wanted to reach out to hug them. But couldn't, feeling alone, he almost began to cry... Until the family (The father, mother, his little brother, and sister) walked to him and hugged him. Everything was silent, and in unison they said 2 words: Thank you.Carmine jolted awake as he looked around to see where he was. He was in a medical area inside a glass containment surrounded by a few doctors and nurses. When he checked, his body was back to its normal, and next to him was a new robot, albeit still using the same body; this one looked more repaired and with new clothing on the side.Putting it on, Carmine would notice the new Gauntlet arm, which looked similar to the dragon head he had slain. Carmine examined his new attire and body before heading out, and to his surprise, he was hailed as a hero.It didn't take long for word of the giant, monstrous dragon, Chudo-Yudo, being slain to spread like wildfire. And soon, what used to be a quiet town full of sadness and barely any people turned into a city of life and travelers. The city's bazaar was running wild, many new faces were coming to town, and many new residents started to show up. Carmine was cheered and held as the town's hero, and they even offered him to lead their town. But he denied it, saying that he only did what he thought was right. But he did request one thing...With the money he had and the help he asked for from the town, he rebuilt and fixed the house that his family owned. Though Carmine changed it up a bit. He turned the whole place into a tavern. Ready for adventures and new people to come and relax. And there was a celebration, a FEAST FOR THE WORLD TO ENJOY.Many friends, both old and new, would come to enjoy the celebration. And I was there, drinking lots of ale and mead. It flowed down my mustache, but completely missed my mouth.
